Supported by his team, Peter Schmutzer has been manager of the Augustiner am Dom since 2006 – your authentic and enjoyable Munich tavern experience.
The Augustiner am Dom looks as though it has always been there, but it is actually a new building which was constructed in 2002.
Schmutzer’s NATUR PUR cuisine is served in the Augustiner am Dom.
Authentic Munich cuisine which uses only the best regional products such as river-fresh trout from the Isartal Aumühle or farm-reared duck from Altöttinger Lugederhof.
All dishes are served NATUR PUR, meaning they are served without garnishes.
This allows the flavour and tastiness of the products to come through.
With our drinks, we focus on famous specialities from the Augustiner brewery, especially Augustiner Hell beer freshly tapped from traditional wooden barrels.
The atmosphere matches our NATUR PUR cuisine:
cosy and a tad modern – but also traditional.
Individual touches can be found everywhere, including the cutlery, table linen, decor, seating and atmospheric lighting.
